Your cyber insurance proposal form asks whether you use MFA. Could you show the evidence for email, remote access, cloud services, admin access and online banking, one by one?
It's tempting to answer from memory. For business insurance in the UK, though, the Insurance Act 2015 says the buyer must make "a fair presentation of the risk" to the insurer. That duty is yours, and it covers material facts even where the form doesn't ask.
Gather the evidence before anyone signs, whether it's your first form or a renewal. The NCSC notes that gathering the information can take input from several people, including your IT provider.
If you're the UK small business or sole trader holding that form, the kit works through 14 question areas. Each answer gets a place to log its evidence.
Readiness only. Secordit Intelligence isn't an insurer or a broker. This kit can't tell you whether you'll be offered cover or on what terms. That's the insurer's decision, and your broker or insurer can answer questions about your policy. It's a set of templates. General information, not legal or insurance advice.

What's inside
- Walkthrough of 14 question areas (PDF): what published proposal forms commonly ask about, from MFA and backups to payment fraud controls and past incidents, with what to have ready for each
- Evidence workbook (Excel): log each question from your form with your answer, the evidence, where it lives, who confirmed it and when
- Separate MFA checks for remote access, email, cloud services, admin access and online banking, because forms ask about them separately

FAQ
Will this get me cover?
No. It helps you answer accurately. The insurer decides whether to offer cover and on what terms.
Does it include a particular insurer's form?
No. Every insurer's form is different. The walkthrough describes the question areas we found on the ABI's list and five freely published forms, in our own words. Always answer the form your broker or insurer provides.
I'm a sole trader. Does the fair presentation duty apply to me?
If you're buying the cover wholly or mainly for your business, it isn't a consumer contract. So the Insurance Act 2015 duty of fair presentation applies to you. Cover bought mainly for personal purposes follows the consumer rules instead. Ask your broker or insurer if you're unsure.
What format are the files?
PDF and Excel (.xlsx). The workbook is a standard .xlsx file (tested in LibreOffice Calc; it should also open in Excel and Google Sheets). The PDFs have printed tick boxes; the same checklist is an editable tab in the workbook.
